DAYTON, March 20, 2007 - CityWide Development Corporation’s Board of Trustees has elected J. Michael Herr as its new chairman.

Herr is a partner in Thompson Hine LLP, a law firm of 380 attorneys with offices in eight cities, including Dayton. He practices in and is a past Chair of the firm’s Corporate Transactions and Securities Department. Major aspects of his practice include mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity financings including venture capital investment, joint ventures, executive compensation, corporate governance, and business succession planning. He has extensive international experience in mergers and acquisitions and licensing.

Herr has been recognized in a number of publications including The Best Lawyers in America, Ohio Super Lawyers, and in The Dayton Business Journal’s Best of the Bar. A 1985 graduate of Leadership Dayton, he has served on the Boards of Trustees of the Visiting Nurses Association, the Senior Resource Center, and Goodwill/Easter Seals of the Miami Valley. He received his undergraduate degree from the University of Notre Dame and his juris doctor from The Ohio State University.
